edit introduction
Lia was bitten by the acting bug at the age of 12, when she saw her first musical - Sunset Boulevard, starring Rex Smith and Diane Carroll. She instantly fell in love with musical theatre and pursued it full force all through high school, landing the lead role of Sandy in 'Grease'. She was also no stranger to live audiences as she worked with Deep Cove Stage Society, playing Fan, the younger sister of Scrooge in A Christmas Carol, as well as being the lead singer of the Rhythm and Blues band at her high school.

After years of competing in pageants and winning the 'Most Talented Award' at Miss Chinese Covergirl and Miss Chinese Vancouver, Lia moved onto pursing her interests in television and film.

Her love of film and television has allowed her to play fun and comical roles on The Tooth Fairy, as Julie Andrews' Tooth Fairy Assistant and as one of Kim-Jong-Un's female admirers in The Interview, with Seth Rogen and James Franco.

Lia has trained with the First Step Actors' Workshop in Vancouver and Tom Todoroff in Toronto and is currently training extensively in Vancouver at The Actors' Foundry with Matthew Harrison and at Jeb Beach Studios with Jeb Beach.
